Published by Corinth Books (New York City) in 1970 with design and a cover by Joan Wilentz, based on Weatherly's manuscript handwriting and with a frontispiece illustration by Carolyn Weatherly, Mau Mau American Cantos was printed by Profile Press in an edition of 3,000 copies. The back cover lists among Weatherly's accomplishments "the double mojo hand" and a "13th-degree gris-gris black belt."
